Joining Meeting of Teaming for Excellence Centres

On 8 June 2026, Astrocent representatives took part in a meeting of Polish Centres of Excellence established through the Teaming for Excellence programme. Hosted by Sano – Centre for Computational Personalised Medicine International Research Foundation in Kraków, the event brought together institutions developing world‑class research capacity in Poland, as well as organisations supporting their growth. It was also an opportunity for research teams to connect, exchange ideas, and explore future collaboration.

The meeting gathered representatives of ASTROCENT, ENSEMBLE3, ICTER, NOMATEN, P4Health, RACE, and the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR), joined by the newly selected Centres of Excellence funded under the latest #HorizonEurope call: CERES – Centre of Excellence in Railway Engineering, QuRAK – Quantum Research and Applied Knowledge, and RAPTOR-HF – RAPid TranslatiOnal Research – Heart Failure. Newly funded centres presented their development plans, while participants shared experiences from project implementation. A training session led by Maria Szlachta (NCBR) inspired further valuable conversations.

The Polish Teaming Club connects Centres of Excellence established through the Teaming for Excellence programme, funded under #HorizonEU and #Horizon2020. It promotes collaboration, mutual support, and joint initiatives that strengthen Poland’s research ecosystem and its international visibility.

Thank you to all participants for your openness and constructive discussions, and to the host for the organisation.
